Initial Editorial Screening

Upon submission, each manuscript is evaluated by the Editorial Office to ensure it meets the journal’s submission requirements and editorial standards. During this stage, manuscripts are assessed for:

Double-Blind Peer Review

BIJNR follows a double-blind peer-review system, where the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process.

Eligible manuscripts are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who possess expertise in the relevant research field. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research experience, and subject knowledge.

Minor Revision – Small revisions are required before acceptance.
Major Revision – Significant revisions are required, followed by further evaluation.
Reject – The manuscript does not meet the journal’s publication standards.

The final publication decision rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief.

Authors receiving revision requests should submit:

A revised manuscript incorporating all requested changes.
A detailed response letter explaining how each reviewer comment has been addressed.

Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for additional assessment when necessary.

Confidentiality

All submitted manuscripts and related materials are treated as confidential documents. Editors and reviewers are expected to maintain strict confidentiality and must not disclose, distribute, or use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.

Conflict of Interest

Editors, reviewers, and authors are expected to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the editorial or review process. Individuals with significant conflicts will not participate in the evaluation of the manuscript.
