This review article explores the principles, benefits, and practical applications of play therapy within the context of pediatric nursing. It examines the role of play in promoting coping mechanisms, reducing anxiety, and enhancing communication among pediatric patients. Furthermore, this paper discusses various play therapy techniques, such as art therapy, sandplay therapy, and therapeutic play, highlighting their efficacy in addressing the unique needs of children facing illness, trauma, or hospitalization. The integration of play therapy into pediatric nursing practice not only enhances patient outcomes but also fosters a holistic approach to healthcare
